About the Author

Josie Koerner has been travelling around the world since she took her first trip at the age of 4.  In college, she was bitten by the travel bug and backpacked around Europe and North Africa. Growing up in New York City exposed her to many different cultures and inspired her to study languages, read profusely and become a gourmet cook. Josie has traveled to approximately 40 countries in Europe, North America, South America, Africa, Asia, and the Caribbean. Her favorite travelling partners are her husband, Andy and her two kids. She  enjoys hiking, running, cooking, music and exploring different cultures. She is fluent in English, Spanish, French, Italian, German and Portuguese. She enjoys spending time in Punta Cana and wants to share her insider tips of the country she was born in with the rest of the world.
